Some more Twitter beef has been brewing, this time it’s between Wale and Rosa Acosta. It started sometime last night when I saw the initial tweet from Wale to Rosa but things went south real quick. Read the convo below:

Rosa’s reply:

All this Twitter beef must stop. It was funny at first but it’s becoming far to frequent. This is our second Twitter beef story in one day! #StopIt

John Mayer: ‘I Was a Tweetaholic’

John Mayer, who was once considered the King of Twitter, now admits that he may have used it too much.  In an interview with Rolling Stone, the “Heartbreak Warfare” singer talks about how his addiction eventually became too much:

“I was a tweetaholic.  I had four million Twitter followers, and I was always writing on it. And I stopped using Twitter as an outlet and I started using Twitter as the instrument to riff on, and it started to make my mind smaller and smaller and smaller. And I couldn’t write a song.”

Now tweet-free, Mayer has a fresh strategy when it comes to creating new music:

“Here are the rules for recording this record: No drum machines, no loops, no keyboards to start out with, no excuses, no breaks, no laptops, no nothing.  If you take a break, it’s to eat. If you’re done, you go home.”

I like his new attitude.

Mariah Carey Shows Off Post-Baby Body

Mariah Carey is carefree as she goes for a swim showing off her post-baby body to the world. Giving birth just back in April, the mother of twins Monroe and Moroccan tweeted the picture of herself saying:

“Ocean work out! It’s been a loooong time since I’ve been in the ocean”.

and had once described her pregnancy as difficult:

”Everyone was always saying to me, “Oh but it’s all worth it. And I was like, “Yeah well it’s easy for you to say when you’re not the one whose feet are this big”.  She added, It turned into a really difficult time. [Being] pregnant with twins is different to anything. My body went through so much – you have to keep those twins in as long as possible, but it’s a sacrifice you make for them.  I was literally 47 weeks pregnant”.

The singer is currently working with Tony Bennett for his new album Duets II, which will hit stores come September 20th.

The Dream has been very busy creating music for the likes of Beyonce and others, but, now the R&B pioneer is taking sometime out to create new music of his own. He announced via Twitter the exciting news about releasing a free album…yes, I said free.

Fox News Bashes Chris Brown

After breaking a record having a whooping 18,000 people camp out to watch him perform  on ” The “Today Show”, Fox News is persistent in bashing Chris Brown in every way. Taking the battered picture of Rihanna to the streets, Fox News asked people their opinion saying:

“Just wanna show you this one picture, here’s a picture of Rihanna after the incident and I’ve never seen a picture of Chris Brown where it showed that he had any sort of injuries anywhere close to this.”

After learning about the situation Chris responded on Twitter saying:

“People really should grow up sometimes! I guess the next story they make up will say “chris brown paid the fans to come! #stopit5 hahaha..I get it though! They are upset at the fact that the today show actually focuses on talent instead of an almost 3 year old incident! Running bogus and pointless stories don’t matter! My fans prove that everyday and the haters just look old as F**k ! I keep my head high and my middle finger higher! I love team breezy. Let’s just laugh it off cuz they mad. Ahahahahaha..Fame + Platinum= Fortune! Nobody can take my joy. I have some of the most incredible fans in the world. Goodnight y’all!”

Watch the video of  Cooper Lawrence, author of ‘The Cult of Celebrity’, Jehmu Greene former president of Rock The Vote, and Laura Ingraham bash Chris Brown. Chris has been hard at work trying to become a changed man, but the media just won’t let him live.

Gabrielle Union: "I Tried To Shoot My Rapist"

With the recent backlash that Rihanna has been receiving for her “Man Down” video another celebrity is jumping to her defense…..Gabrielle Union.

After viewing the video Gabby came out revealing her own heart breaking story about how she was raped,

“Saw ‘Man Down’ by @rihanna. Every victim/survivor of rape is unique, including how they THINK they’d like justice 2 be handed out.  During my rape I tried 2 shoot my rapist, bt I missed. Over the yrs I realized tht killin my rapist would’ve added insult 2 injury. The DESIRE 2 kill someone whose abused/raped u is understandable, bt unless its self defense n the moment 2 save ur life, just ADDS 2 ur troubles #mandown.”

After support was shown for her comment she later went on to say,

“Stranger who robbed the store I worked at,” she said, identifying her rapist. “He put his gun dwn durin the rape & asked me 2 [hand] it 2 him.”

“#Mandown video did a GREAT job of getting the ENTIRE world TALKING abt RAPE.  I hope tht it leads 2 HEALING & PREVENTS RAPE.”

Gabrielle Union took a huge step by coming out with her story but I see the light in the message. I don’t encourage violence of any kind but the over all message of Rihanna’s video was to bring what is a touchy subject to the forefront. While the video may be graphic, it’s in no manner telling rape victims to find their rapist and shoot them. Many will disagree but to each his own.
