Cassie Covers Status Magazine

cassie status magazine

Cassie looks gorgeous as she covers Status magazine. The singer/model dishes on her new album and her fierce sense of style. In a fitted leather jacket and bright colorful pants that would make you look twice, Cassie says:

“I have been crazy busy, back in the studio getting my album done. Lots of new editorial shoots coming out. Really been blessed lately-feels like my time is now.

I’m a whole new version of myself, and I love it, so I know the people who really love my music will too. Every session is fun, actually-the producers and writers are dope. I couldn’t be happier.”

Cassie has had tons of time away from music, so hopefully this time around she comes back stronger and ready to compete.

Pitbull Reveals Major Collaborators for New Album

Pitbull is definitely one of the hottest pop artists out right now.  He’s on everyone’s songs and known for getting the party started.  Looks like he’s sticking to that winning formula for his next album Planet Pit.  It will be released June 21 and feature songs with Chris Brown (“International Love”), T-Pain, Kelly Rowland (“Castle Made of Sand”), Sean Paul, and Marc Anthony (“Rain Over Me”), plus production from David Guetta, Afrojack (“Something 4 the DJs”), RedOne, Polow Da Don, and DJ Frank E.

Mr. 305 himself says the new album’s sound is inspired by his recent travels:

“It embodies a bit of everywhere I’ve been,” says Pit. “I’m trying to be the ambassador; the bridge builder who brings elements from all over the world and puts it all together so it sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before.”

Sounds like a plan to me! Everyone’s on that international wave these days.  Take a listen to the single “Give Me Everything,” featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack, and Nayer:

Tracklisting: "F.A.M.E" Chris Brown

Blondie Chris Brown has revealed the tracklisting for his upcoming album F.A.M.E and it looks promising.  There’s a nice balance of collaborations and solo songs, which I like and bonus tracks.  For all those who can’t get enough of the Fan of a Fan mixtape…don’t fret, “No Bxllshit” and “Dueces” will be on the much anticipated album.  I’m excited for Breezy.  He’s finally got his stride back and I wish him nothing but success this year.  Check out the list:

1. Deuces (ftTyga & Kevin McCall)

2. Up 2 You

3. No Bulls**t

4. Look At Me Now (ft Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes)

5. She Ain’t You

6. Say It With Me

7. Yeah 3x

8. Next 2 You (ft Justin Bieber)

9. All Back

Foxy Brown Still Doesn't Like Lil Kim

This whole female rapper beef fiasco has really got to stop.  Why do women always need to be goin’ at each other? Sheesh, it gives me a headache.  Speaking of female rappers, Foxy Brown recently sat down with Billboard to talk about why she doesn’t like Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj.  By the way, remember that album Black Roses she was supposed to release awhile back? Well, perfect timing…she plans to drop it as a double disc this year.

Via Necole Bitchie:

On Lil Kim’s Animosity Towards Nicki
Had she let the people say, “Oh [Nicki], you’re trying to be Kim, you’re a fake Kim,” then it doesn’t come directly from her. But when you’re using that as a platform to bring your new album out, that’s like, “Oh my God, wait a minute.” I don’t condone it at all; I don’t think it’s cute.

Nicki clearly drew from both Kim and me. And she hasn’t been disrespectfulto me in any way — I haven’t heard her be disrespectful toward anybody else but Kim. And at some point, it’s like, O.K., Kim, you’ve had a problem with Foxy, you’ve had a problem with Nicki, you’ve had a problem with Faith [Evans], with Charli [Baltimore], with everybody. It’s like, enough already. I choose to stay out of it. Put out great music, and that’s that.

Of course, people everywhere clearly are saying, “She wants to be Foxy, she wants to be Kim.” Everybody’s going to say that. But do I think she’s doing an incredible job at branding herself? Yes, I do. When you’re an icon in the music business…like Mary J. Blige. Keyshia Cole came out after her, [but] you didn’t hear Mary J. Blige starting a beef with her just because they compared [Keyshia to] her. Mary J. Blige stayed clean. She does what she does, and I do what I do.

On the Fashion After-Party Rumors

I don’t know how any rumors got started. Indashio is a personal friend of mine — I’m his biggest supporter, he’s my biggest supporter…It was all about me coming to support one of my closest friends in fashion. They’re saying I was physically escorted out of the building by security, that I had this huge fight, I was intoxicated, falling all over. And there’s not one picture, one photo from any of the club-goers, nothing. Not only that — it took six days for this quote-unquote “breaking story” to surface? Does that make sense?

On Her New Album
The new album! “Black Roses.” I’m in the studio every night, slaving. It’s going to be the first double CD from any female rapper in history, so it’s going to be really big. One side is going to be straight hip-hop and hardcore records, and a couple big radio joints, and then the other side is dancehall rock… I personally want it to drop around August or September.

All of these women need to give it up.  The smartest one is Nicki Minaj; she’s selling records like crazy and keeping her mouth shut for the most part.  Get em’ diva!!!

Britney Spears says "Kiss My Ass!"

Britney ain’t playin’ ya’ll!

She gave us lots of great news via her Twitter.  First, her new album is coming out March 2011! I’m excited for this.  She can’t sang, but she makes catchy songs, so I look forward to hear what’s she’s been working on.  Second, she denied the rumors about her boyfriend/ex-manager abusing her:

Just wanted to thank all of you for the amazing birthday wishes you guys have been sending all day.

My fans mean the world to me & waking up to all of your wishes really made me smile, so here’s something that I hope will make you smile…

I’m almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!
