Video: ‘Marijuana’ Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi finally releases the visuals to “Marijuana,” a fan favorite from his sophomore album Man on the Moon II: Legend of Mr. Rager.  It’s directed, filmed and edited by actor Shia Labeouf, who makes a short cameo in front of the camera.  Shia compiled a bunch of candid and behind the scenes footage of Cudder in many places including Amsterdam, the Red Light District, on stage and in the studio with collaborators Travis Barker and David Guetta.  And of course, there is marijuana in every shot.  But, we all know that Kid Cudi gave up the ganga which makes this video completely ironic.

I still love the song; one of his best in my opinion.  Watch below:

Mr. Rager himself has made a triumphant return to Twitter.  He quit the social networking site over a year ago for whatever reasons.  He’s got a lot of exciting news for his fans.  Check the tweets:

He’s still on that show “How to Make it in America.”

He’s formed a rock band called Wizard with his partner/producer Dot da Genius (love him!!) and will release an album this summer.>>“pushing for a summer release of the wizard album. i produce and play guitar on everything with my main man @dotdagenius. he’s learnin bass,” he wrote. “wizard is a rock album, no raps, just singing. brand new thing. flavor.”

He’s releasing a mixtape this year called “A Man Named Scott.”>>“for all those who fucks with my raps, this is for u since ima be all rocked out with the wizard shit. also its free! yes!”

Who’s excited to have Cudder back on Twitter?

Kid Cudi and Cee-Lo Make Top 10 Billboard Debuts

Congrats are in order for Cee-Lo and Kid Cudi!

This week, they both made a splash on the Billboard 200.  Kid Cudi’s “Man on the Moon II: Legend of Mr. Rager,” debuted at number three behind Susan Boyle and Taylor Swift, selling 169,000.  That’s an improvement from his first album which debuted at #4 almost two years ago.  Cee-Lo’s LP “The Lady Killer” debuted at #4 with 42,000 copies sold.

I love both of these artists.  They’re both innovative and extremely creative.  Congrats, boys!
