2011 Teen Choice Awards Winners

Last night, the 2011 Teen Choice Awards aired on the Fox Channel.  The show was a bit of a snoozefest to me, but there were some highlights.  I enjoyed seeing Demi Lovato win “Choice Summer Song” after a horrific year. LOVED the Harry Potter tribute.  Jason Derulo also TORE DOWN the stage with a performance of “Don’t Wanna Go Home.”  The choreography was more than on point and he didn’t lipsync.

Watch his performance and read the full list of winners below:

Spotted: Timbaland and Demi Lovato in the Studio

Timbaland has been saying for some time that he wants to work with Disney starlet Demi Lovato and it looks like his dream came true.  Timbo tweeted the above photo of him and the “Skyscraper” singer in the studio.

“me and demi @demilovato workin on a hit baby!,”  he tweeted.

Woah. Peep all the plaques in the back. That’s a lot of hits.  Can’t wait to hear what kind of sounds this collaboration brings.

Demi’s most recent hit, “Skyscraper:”

Video: ‘Skyscraper’ Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato looks freaking gorg in the video for her new single “Skyscraper.” The camera captures a vulnerable Lovato, wearing a flowing dress, as she sings the personal lyrics to the camera:

As the smoke clears I awaken and untangle you from me
Would it make you feel better to watch me while I bleed?
All my windows still are broken but I’m standing on my feet

I’m slowly falling in love with this song.  Watch the video below:

divaTunes: ‘Skyscraper’ Demi Lovato

Demi Lovato sounds better than ever on “Skyscraper,” her newest single.  The song, no doubt inspired by Demi’s life in the past couple months (REHAB!), is extremely inspirational and piano driven.

“This song is so special to me because it’s inspired by my journey and the struggles that I’ve dealt with this past year,” she wrote as a contributing editor for Seventeen Magazine, adding, “I am still on a personal journey dealing with my own issues each and every day, but the best advice I can give to anyone going through a rough patch is to never be afraid to ask for help.”

After getting positive feedback from fans and celebrity friends via Twitter, she says:

“Okay I’m literally balling my eyes out right now… So grateful for my friends and fan’s support.. Wow… So happy, so blessed…”

This sounds like a hit to me.  What say you?  Listen below:

Video: Demi Lovato Speaks Out About Issues and Bipolar Disorder Diagnosis On 20/20

Demi Lovato has had some demons in her closet and instead of running away from them, she ran towards them, tackling each issue head on in rehab. She sat down with ABC anchor Robin Roberts for an interview on 20/20 were she discusses her childhood trauma that later on in life developed into her having physical and emotional issues that came to light in public as an eating disorder and cutting.

While in rehab Demi was diagnosed with having bipolar disorder. Demi digs deep and talks about her fight through this rough and dark period in her life and I applaud her for doing so because so many other young people out there are going to be inspired and change. She’s doing the right thing in every way possible, see her story below.

divaTunes: Timbaland ft. Lyrica Anderson- Mentally

The newest addition to Timbaland Thursdays is this track called “Mentally” which features Lyrica Anderson who collaborated with Timbo on Shock Value. Of course there’s your signature Timbaland beat, there’s no mistaking it, while Lyrica sings the chorus,

Mentally I’m gone/when I leave there’s no tomorrow

While timbaland pours out feelings of a realtionship gone wrong

I think I really need some help/can you get some counseling for us
