Swizz Beatz & Chris Brown Perform “Dance Like A White Girl” [Video]

swizz beats and chris brown

Swizzy and Chris Breezy turned it up last night at the Reebok Classics’ PROJECT party at the Moorea Beach Club in Vegas. Shirtless and looking rather fine, Chris took to Twitter to shoot down rumors about drama in the club saying:

“Whatever story they make up about the club last night is Hella false. Bouncers at the front was trippin on dress code. Said my peace so ignorant people don’t try to make up a homophobic story or breaking s— story!”

Not to sure what was going on in the club last night but check out the video. #ReebokBack (Swizzy voice)

Foolery: FOX News Bashes Chris Brown…Again (Video)

“Everyone’s favorite news channel (insert sarcasm)” FOX News made Chris Brown their punching bag once again for a Twitter comment.  During Halftime Report, Andy Levy issued an “apology” to Chris for a comment he made on the social networking site.  Read the text below, courtesy of Necole Bitchie:

“I want to talk about something that happened on Tuesday night. About 8 o’clock here on the east coast R&B singer Chris Brown tweeted, “No more planking for me unless it’s on a sexy lady. Lol.” So I saw this tweet and I retweeted it adding, “You spelled “punching” wrong.” Obviously in reference to that fact that Brown was arrested in 2009 for assaulting his then girlfriend Rihanna.

But now in the light of day, I’d like to apologize to Chris Brown and to his fans that are known as ‘Team Breezy.’ To Mr. Brown, I apologize for referencing the fact that you beat the crap out of Rihanna. It was disrespectful of me to draw attention to the fact that you put your girlfriend in the hospital. [People in the background laughing] And further, it was not my place to make people remember that you beat a woman with your fists, leaving her with multiple facial contusions, a bloody nose, and a split lip. I know that now.

I also appreciate the fact that you tweeted me, letting me know that children conduct themselves better than I do. You are correct, and I could only hope to one day mature to the point where I can conduct myself in a more adult manner. Possibly by throwing a chair out of a window and storming out of a building with my shirt off. [Laughter] I ask only for your patience.

To Team Breezy I would also like to say that I’m sorry. Thank you for your thousands of tweets which taught me a lot about the creative possibilities of spelling, grammar, and syntax.  Possibilities I couldn’t even imagine before last night. In particular I’d like to thank the female members of Team Breezy, who have taught me that as long as you can sing, you can beat the living hell out of a woman and other women will still love you.

And lastly, I apologize to everyone for using Twitter to subtly address the fact that I think it’s disgusting that a guy who put his girlfriend can, a mere two years later, be warmly welcomed back into society and appear on shows such as Saturday Night Live, as if everything he did magically never happened. It won’t happen again.”

“Really Greg, the only thing Chris Brown is guilty of? A felony.”

I will be the first to say that Chris Brown has made HUGE mistakes in the past and still isn’t the most mature young adult.  But damn Fox News, you’re jockin’ him like it’s noone’s business.  What really upset me is the fact that he insulted Brown’s fans as well…really though??That would be okay if you were doing the same to other people in Hollywood who act cray-cray, such as Charlie Sheen.

Smh.

Performers Announced for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

Three of music’s biggest stars will grace the Nokia Theatre stage at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.  Adele, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, all multiple nominees, will have their chance to showcase their talent to millions around the world.

This will be British powerhouse Adele’s first time on the VMA stage.  She is up for seven nominations for “Rolling in the Deep,” including the biggest award of the night, “Video of the Year.”

The “best rapper alive,” Lil Wayne, will also tear down the stage in what he hopes will be an unforgettable performance.  He is nominated for mutiple moonmen (“6 Foot 7 Foot”).  In a  statement released today, Wayne has this to say about his upcoming performance:

“Being a nominee and performer on the VMAs once again is an honor because everyone doesn’t get that opportunity.  Looking forward to performing on the show, and having The Carter IV drop the same week!” <<Carter IV drops August 29.

Chris Brown, who’s having an incredible comeback year, will also perform at the show for the first time since 2007.  “Look At Me Now” is nominated for moonmen.  In his own statement Brown says:  “I am excited about my nominations and to be back on the VMA stage.  I have a special performance planned for my wonderful fans.”

divaTunes: ‘Open Road (I Love Her)’ ; Video: ‘Body to Body’ (Ace Hood ft. Chris Brown)

Chris Brown sounds like a sad puppy dog on “Open Road (I Love Her),” a new track that may appear on his next album Fortune.  It’s a mid tempo piano ballad with tin whistle sounds that will remind you of the classic romance film Titanic.  Chris released a snippet of it yesterday and had this to say about the new music he’s creating:

“If the whole song doesn’t leak then it’s going on fortune!” wrote Chris. “I have so many songs that I’ve recorded in my opinion that are siiiccccckkkk! I just really hope people appreciate the diversity on Fortune!”

Listen below:

In related news, Ace Hood has released the video for “Body to Body,” the Chris Brown assisted single from his next album Blood, Sweat & Tears, dropping August 9.  Watch below:

Chris Brown and Kelly Rowland to Tour Together

In an interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, Kelly Rowland revealed that she would be hitting the road with Chris Brown in September for a joint tour.  She also spoke on her admiration for him and said that he was a major influence on the just released Here I Am:

“I’m also going on tour with Chris Brown in September. I’m so excited about that. Getting ready for that show — literally getting ready. I’m sitting up here emailing and all that kind of stuff, finding people now.”

“I think that’s what I admire about artists like Chris Brown and Rihanna, who don’t mind putting it all on their album. Who cares? It’s music, and they’re making it: great music. And I’m proud of that, that we do have a generation that is just making great music, period.”

Chris Brown made the same announcement to his fans via Twitter:

“Me and Kelly Rowland along with other incredible artists are going on tour!!!! I’ll let u know who else is on later! Lol.”

I think it’s interesting how Kelly talked about admiring Chris and Rihanna’s ability to put it all out there when it comes to their music.  I actually think those two would be great on tour together….but that’s obviously not going to happen.  At the end of the day, this is a great business decision.  Both Chris and Kelly are the “it” artists of the moment.  Money will definitely be made.

Are you excited for Kelly and Chris’ joint tour?!

A blonde haired Chris also appears in the visuals showing off his dance moves per usual.

Hate it or Love it?: Chris Brown to Release Hip-Hop Mixtape

Chris Brown announced today via his Twitter that he will be releasing his first official hip-hop mixtape…a.k.a a mixtape of Chris rapping and NOT singing:

“New(chris brown) hip hop mixtape called ‘Boy In Detention’ coming soon!”

“And people… Yes I’m a singer so if this mixtape doesn’t reach your quota for hip hop! Simply don’t listen.”

Looks like the critics have been warned!  Chris’ previous mixtape efforts include In My Zone, In My Zone 2, and the collaborative Fan of a Fan.  He also released two viral freestyles this week: “Real Hip Hop Shxt #3” and “Real Hip-Hop Shxt #4.

I love Chris Brown as a singer, but I’ll have to hear this mixtape before I decide on “Chris Brown, the rapper.”

Do you hate or love the idea of a Chris Brown hip-hop mixtape?

divaTunes: ‘Real Hip Hop #4″ Chris Brown ft. Kevin McCall

Chris Brown drops another freestyle.  This time, he’s accompanied by partner in crime Kevin McCall over the 9th Wonder beat.

Is this “real hip hop shxt” to you?

divaTunes: ‘Real Hip Hop #3’ Chris Brown x 9th Wonder

Chris Brown won’t let the haters get him down.  He continues his foray into rapping with “Real Hip Hop #3,” a freestyle over a 9th Wonder beat.

“Supposedly a singer can’t do hip-hop, but I just killed this shit so let the shit rock”

Are you feeling this “hip-hop” C. Breezy?  Listen below:

Fox News Bashes Chris Brown

After breaking a record having a whooping 18,000 people camp out to watch him perform  on ” The “Today Show”, Fox News is persistent in bashing Chris Brown in every way. Taking the battered picture of Rihanna to the streets, Fox News asked people their opinion saying:

“Just wanna show you this one picture, here’s a picture of Rihanna after the incident and I’ve never seen a picture of Chris Brown where it showed that he had any sort of injuries anywhere close to this.”

After learning about the situation Chris responded on Twitter saying:

“People really should grow up sometimes! I guess the next story they make up will say “chris brown paid the fans to come! #stopit5 hahaha..I get it though! They are upset at the fact that the today show actually focuses on talent instead of an almost 3 year old incident! Running bogus and pointless stories don’t matter! My fans prove that everyday and the haters just look old as F**k ! I keep my head high and my middle finger higher! I love team breezy. Let’s just laugh it off cuz they mad. Ahahahahaha..Fame + Platinum= Fortune! Nobody can take my joy. I have some of the most incredible fans in the world. Goodnight y’all!”

Watch the video of  Cooper Lawrence, author of ‘The Cult of Celebrity’, Jehmu Greene former president of Rock The Vote, and Laura Ingraham bash Chris Brown. Chris has been hard at work trying to become a changed man, but the media just won’t let him live.

divaTunes: DJ Khaled ft. Chris Brown, Keyshia Cole & Ne-yo- “Legendary”

DJ Khaled is the best. For his Cash Money debut “We The Best Forever” he recruited hit makers Ne-yo, Chris Brown and Keyshia Cole for the track entitled “Legendary”. Such an encouraging track to say the lease DJ Khaled speaks at the end of the song saying:

“I remember when they told me NO/ I looked them right in their eyes and I told them YES/ Don’t let nobody stop your dreams/Keep winning”

Now that’s what I like to hear, take a listen below.

Video: Chris Brown Shuts Down ‘Today Show’ Concert Series; Breaks Audience Record

Chris Brown literally shut down Rockerfeller Center when over 18,000 fans showed up to watch him perform his medley of hits.  This is the biggest crowd that they have had ever…and I thought Gaga was the only one who could break records like that!

Chris was clearly on cloud nine (via Twitter):

I love my fans!!!! It is really truly an honor and a blessing to create music and evoke emotion for positivity. Can’t live without my fans.

18 to 20 thousand people showed up at 7 this morning! That’s crazy!! Biggest crowd the today show ever had!
I love teambreezy so much.. Wish the concert was longer today! Thx you Today Show for your everything Love ya!
It should also be noted that he didn’t interview with the Today Show crew…good move in my opinion.  Watch performances of “She Ain’t You,” “Forever,” and “Yeah 3x” below:
Sidenote: Damn, that boy can dance. Gets me everytime:

Chris Brown’s Reps Threaten Legal Action Over ‘Gay Bashing’ Story

No matter how hard Chris Brown tries to stay away from the drama, the more he gets into.  Star Magazine published a story claiming that Chris Brown went on a gay-bashing rant during a basketball game:

“He got really ticked off when things didn’t go his way during the game, saying, ‘That’s gay!’ and ‘You’re a f—–t a–!’ to the other players,” the magazine quotes an unnamed “eyewitness.”  The article features a photo of Brown confronting another player.

Chris Brown’s reps released the following statement, claiming that the story is completely false:

A totally fictitious article ran in the current Star Magazine (issue date July 25, 2011) accusing our client Chris Brown of doing something that he did not do. The article claimed that on June 29, 2011, Chris participated in a pick up basketball game at 24 Hour Fitness Center in LA and said some very inappropriate statements. The incident described did not occur, nor did the Star ever contact Chris’ representatives to request comment or confirmation. Chris was filming a video with AceHood on June 29 and never left the set. He spent the entire day with dozens of members of the production team filming the video for “Body To Body” at 1870 Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood.

The Star accompanied the fabricated story with a photo of Chris playing basketball in New York that was taken on the day of his F.A.M.E. CD release in March. Chris Brown’s management is considering taking appropriate legal action against the paper. Unfortunately this bogus account is being picked up by additional media outlets. We stand behind our client and want to set the record straight that this did not happen.

So there you have it.  Unfortunately, due to Chris’ past issues with the gay community…and past issues with communication in general, I doubt there will be many people on his side.

divaTunes: Ace Hood ft. Chris Brown- “Body 2 Body”

Ace Hood has joined forces with the very talented Chris Brown for “Body 2 Body”. This track is definitely for the ladies as Ace and Chris say some rather nasty things.

Baby you don’t have to try to read my mind/cuz you know I want to get it in

And tell me why would we just think about it/If you want then I got it/ We can be body 2 body

Ace Hood’s Blood Sweat & Tears album hits stores August 9th. Take a listen to the track below.

divaTunes: Lloyd ft. Chris Brown & Vega- “Luv Me Girl”

Lloyd wants you to love him in his Chris Brown collaborated track “Luv Me Girl”. Fresh off his latest album King Of Hearts the duo gets feedback from a female perspective provided by Vega who sings back love me boy. Uptempo and produced by Polow Da Don this track has potential. Take a listen.

divaTunes: ‘Marvin’s Room’ Chris Brown

Chris Brown puts his own twist on “Marvin’s Room,” Drake’s infectious viral hit.  This is probably the most sexually explicit version to date, but I must say I’m digging it.  Listen out for Richgirl’s Seven and Kevin McCall on the new version as well.

“Havent given yall free music in a while.. thought i would do something for the ladies!!!” wrote Chris. “No diss record either for all the slow people out there! just writing from the other perspective!”

How does Chris’ version sound compared to the others?

divaTunes: Bow Wow ft. Chris Brown- “I’m Da Man”

Bow Wow has a new track featuring his bestie Chris Brown.  He goes for a more rough sound as he exclaims how he’s the best. The treat in the song is when Chris Brown starts rapping. We’ve all heard him rap before on his mixtapes but he actually sounds really good in this song. Chris’s rapping has always been mediocre to me because well…he’s not a rapper. Looks like he’s been practicing though. Take a listen below.

divaTunes: Game ft. Chris Brown “Pot Of Gold”

The Game teams up with Chris Brown for a more sensitive track entitled Pot Of Gold. Game touches on how he feels that he’s misunderstood and tries to be a good man. Separating his inner being from the music industry isn’t the easiest task for him while his haters secretly pray for his downfall.

Sometimes I try to do good/but it just can’t be/it’s hard to get myself to do things that ain’t me

When Will Chris Brown Stop Twitter Beefin’?

So much for anger management.

R&B bad boy Chris Brown has once again found himself inside some Twitter drama.  What was supposed to be a compliment turned into a nasty war of words between Brown and Odd Future’s Tyler the Creator and Frank Ocean:

Chris:  “I f–k wit Frank Ocean! Reminds me of a young James Fauntleroy or Kevin Cossum.”

Frank: “i f–ks wit chris brown, reminds me of a young sisqo or ike turner”

Chris:  “@frank_ocean it was a compliment you bitch ass n—a. Everybody claim to be the devil till they meet him,”

Chris:  “F–k odd future! Make sure y’all smalltime n—-s stick yo chess out when u speak to me…Ain’t no battery in my back! U just getting on a– n—-s! Don’t let them pills go to yo head! I was tryna help yo sales n—a. You f—-n clown! You and @f–ktyler would be casted great for planet of the apes!”

Tyler: “@chrisbrown What’s Wrong Christopher? Amber Rose Stole Your Style Bro Bro?”

Tyler: “@chrisbrown Why Are You Mad Tho? Like Really, You’re Bigger Than Us Christopher. You Act Like You Like To Eat Soup, Aren’t You A Role Model?”

Chris:  “To all my fans, I’m sorry these ignorant ass n—as got me down to their level.”

Tyler: “@thegame bro these n—s are frail,” he tweeted to rapper The Game.

Chris:  “The world is crazy. These n—as talk s–t, worship the devil and start s–t wit me and I’m the bad guy? F–king hilarious.  Y’all wanna know why I’m always in some shit? Becuz people continuously f–k wit you.”

A couple of thoughts:  I chuckled to myself at the Amber Rose comparison and Tyler calling him “Christopher.”  But, on a more serious note: I think they are all on the level of stupidity.  Chris put himself in the situation by reacting to it.  Celebrities complain about people that hide behind their computers and talk about them, yet, they do the same thing to each other.  An eye for an eye makes the world blind #imjustsayin.
