divaTunes: ’25/8′ Mary J. Blige

Can you believe that Mary J. Blige’s 10th studio album will be hitting retailers in October?! This diva’s been doing the damn thing for a long time. Last night, she released a new single from My Life II: The Journey Continues called “25/8.” It’s produced by Eric Hudson with a super soulful beat and equally soulful lyrics:

“‘Cause I got days and days of love for you boy/ And I don’t wanna have to rush, but 24/7 ain’t enough/ ‘Cause I got so much love for you boy/ I need another hour and a day so I can love you 25/8.”

divaTunes: Lil’ Wayne ft. Bruno Mars- “Mirror”

Lil’ Wayne teams up with Bruno Mars for the track “Mirrors” on the deluxe edition of “Tha Carter IV” which will be available on Monday. Bruno adds the soul to the track and it matches great as Wayne gets his feelings out. He references his estranged father and Michael Jackson saying:

(“Lookin’ at me now I can see my past/ Damn, I look just like my fu**in’ dad”), while taking inspiration from the King of Pop. “And no message could have been any clearer, so I’m starting with the man in the mirror,” he says. “MJ taught me that.”

Take a listen.

divaTunes: ‘Turn Me On’ David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj

Rapper Nicki Minaj is nowhere to be found on the new David Guetta track “Turn Me On.”  Instead, Young Money’s first lady is singing the entire time…and sounds pretty great doing it.  I hardly recognized her voice.  Guetta previously told Billboard:

“I am so proud of what [Nicki] did on this record because we know her for those crazy raps but the other record that we have, she is singing like—oh man. The world is gonna be shocked. Because they don’t know her like this.  And we came up with that amazing song and she just killed it.”

The song will appear on Nothing But the Beat, dropping next week (August 29). Take a listen:

divaTunes: ‘Night of Your Life’ David Guetta ft. Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson is going from R&B to dance diva with David Guetta.  The I Remember Me singer is featured on “Night of Your Life,” another track from Guetta’s Nothing But the Beat dropping August 29.  This reminds me of 90’s club music…and not in a bad way.

Are you feeling J-Hud’s new sound or do you think she should stick to ballads? Take a listen below:

divaTunes: ‘Drink’ Lil Jon ft. LMFAO

After making instant party smash “Shots,” Lil Jon collaborates with hip-pop duo LMFAO for part two.  “Drink” is another one for the clubs and you already know what this song is about:

I am LOVING the old school vibe of this tune! Check it out:

G.O.O.D. music artist Pusha T has released some new music from his forthcoming album “Fear Of God Part 2: Let Us Pray. The Shawty Redd-produced track had been previously thought to be Young Jeezy’s song, since only his verse was leaked. Pusha T raps:

“Tryna get saved/too late/ time to get paid/got in a gun and a stocking mask/n*ggas thought I was tryna get waves/I’ma let ya’ll n*ggas pray for it/my young n*ggas knocking off a K for it/ sold my soul on the back end/only f*cking way I’ma pay for it.”

Melanie Fiona is singing the blues in “4 A.M.,” the first single from her sophomore album, The M.F. Life, dropping October 25th.  The track is produced by Rico Love and Earl & E. and showcases the Canadian songbird’s voice beautifully.

“It’s 4 A.M. and my lover won’t answer/ He’s probably somewhere with a dancer/ Sippin’ champagne while I’m in his bed.”

Take a look at their “Jagged Edge-Esque” video for the song “Thing Called Us”:

divaTunes: ‘Put the Light on Me’ Lil Wayne

Lil’ Wayne was so sorry for making his fans wait for his new album that he created a mixtape to hold us all over until its arrival. Recently, a track entitled “Put The Light On” has leaked and it goes hard. There’s no word right now if this will be a track on the new album, but I would like it to be. Produced by Bangladesh, Weezy raps:

“Shining in this bitch, I got them bitches on my swit-ag/ Swagger on Bruce Lee, kung fu kick ass, come though in a coupe, make that money hula hoop.”

Take a listen:

divaTunes: 50 Cent- “I’m On It”

50 Cent has debuted the first single from his fifth studio album. Produced by Cataracs, 50 let us know that he’s on it. The song can be a potentially club banger. The part that caught my ear was when he referred to Jay-Z and the illuminati:

“If Jay’s Illuminati, what am I?/ Am I Bugatti?” asks 50 while spitting flashy rhymes. “Me I’m so B.I.G./ Notorious ya dig?”

Not quite sure how to take that one, listen below.

divaTunes: Drake- “Headlines”

Fans across the country are anticipating Drake’s new album Take Care.  The Young Money protegé impresses with his new track “Headlines”. Drizzy reinforces the notion that he has it like that,

Listen to you expressin all them feelings
Soap opera rappers all these niggas sound like All My Children
And that’s how you thinking is about to come and make a killing
I guess it really is just me, myself, and all my millions

Take a listen to the track.

divaTunes: ‘Paint’ Travis Garland ft. JoJo

Travis Garland and JoJo get real sexy in their duet titled “Paint,” an r&b tune set over a sample of Jai Paul’s “BTSTU.”  The song will appear on Travis’ next mixtape.  JoJo’s taking all this time to record viral tracks; I just hope she’s still working on her new album Jumping Trains.  We’ve been waiting long enough.

“I just want to do you in the paint/ I want to make love to you in the place/ Rollin’ around in the mess that we made/ Brushin’ and strokin’, the best sex we made.” <<<<OKAAAAAYYYYY Miss JoJo!!!

divaTunes: ‘Open Road (I Love Her)’ ; Video: ‘Body to Body’ (Ace Hood ft. Chris Brown)

Chris Brown sounds like a sad puppy dog on “Open Road (I Love Her),” a new track that may appear on his next album Fortune.  It’s a mid tempo piano ballad with tin whistle sounds that will remind you of the classic romance film Titanic.  Chris released a snippet of it yesterday and had this to say about the new music he’s creating:

“If the whole song doesn’t leak then it’s going on fortune!” wrote Chris. “I have so many songs that I’ve recorded in my opinion that are siiiccccckkkk! I just really hope people appreciate the diversity on Fortune!”
