T-Pain Vows To Never Use Auto-Tune Again

When everyone thinks of T-Pain, chances are the first thing they think of is Auto-Tune.  However, in an interview with The BoomBox, the “Sprung” singer announced that he would stop using the voice modification software completely:

“I’m done with Auto-Tune.  I vow right here, right now, to never use Auto-Tune again.”

“You can’t stick with one thing forever,” the Grammy-winning singer-producer told Billboard. “After you figure out how stuff works, you’ve got to start making your own. When everybody talks about (Auto-Tune), they pretty much say T-Pain. So what simpler thing to do? It’s supply and demand. You want the T-Pain sound? I’m gonna give you the T-Pain effect.”

What is the T-Pain Effect?  Not quite sure yet, but it looks like it will be a new brand of voice software that he’s creating with Boston based software company IZotope.  Visit the website for more info.

T-Pain’s next album, rEVOLVEr, is set to hit stores in September with contributions from Kesha, Pitbull, Chris Brown and others.  Will you be listening to an auto-tuneless Pain?

Great stuff! Ever wondered why singers are changing words like every, there, and air into errr? Pretty funny. Check this video out. http://youtu.be/-9MZfxHbKIE
