Lady Gaga Banned From YouTube
Lady Gaga is no doubt the “Queen of YouTube;” garnering over a billion views of her videos and using her account on a daily basis by linking it to her Twitter account. Little Monsters who flocked to the Tube this morning for their daily Gaga fix were severely disappointed when this message appeared across the screen:
“This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s Copyright Policy.”
So what’s the deal? According to Time Out Tokyo, she took digital footage from a recent performance on the Japanese TV show “SMAP x SMAP” without their permission and posted it to her YouTube account. Gaga performed a medley of hits from the platinum Born this Way, including “You and I” and “The Edge of Glory.”
YouTube and Gaga’s reps have yet to be reached for comment.
