Rumor: Justin Timberlake Creating ‘MySpace’ Music Competition?

We told you last week that Justin Timberlake has bought a stake in the now unpopular MySpace.  Hoping to revive the social networking site by narrowing its focus to music, Timberlake’s manager Johnny Wright revealed plans to get people excited about the site:

“Whether it becomes a talent competition or something like that, those are things that we will still flesh out…We definitely want to bring the industry back to MySpace to really look at the talented people that have put their faces there.”

Timberlake, Wright and MySpace executives will have a plan hashed out by August 17, when a press conference will be held to reveal their next steps.

Do you think Timberlake has enough star power to revive MySpace?
