Jessica Simpson Adding Tween Line to her Billion-Dollar Fashion Empire
It seems that in recent years, Jessica Simpson has abandoned her singing career for the fashion world. She made people pay attention last year when it was announced that her clothes, shoe and accessories lines have profits in the billions. Her success is due to the fact that she makes affordable and accessible clothes for us common folk (I have a super cute pair of her wedges!).
Jessica has just announced that she will add a fashion line for tweens to the Jessica Simpson Collection. And it will be a family affair; she will co-direct the line with sister Ashlee Simpson. According to Women’s Wear Daily, it will feature sportswear and activewear with a “girly, playful attitude.”
“Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand,” Jessica told WWD. “I’m excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today’s tweens.”
Sounds like a winning formula to me!
