There is no stopping the force that is J.Lo. This beautiful diva is releasing her ninth fragrance called “Love & Light” and will also be starring in a new movie. Not to mention having a new album out, judging on one of the biggest shows ever “American Idol” and being a mommy.
When asked about her new fragrance she says,
‘With Love & Light, I wanted to create a fragrance that was less about the world around you and more about your inner light and your spirit,’ she said in a press release. ‘It’s about how you feel inside, it’s not about your outside world.’
And she’ll also be starring in What To Expect When You’re Expecting with Cameron Diaz playing the role of a woman who adopts a baby from abroad with her husband after having conceiving difficulty.
J.Lo is on her JOB, will you be purchasing her new fragrance??
Never one to bite his tongue, this beaming laser named Lupe has written a thorough review of Lil’ B’s album I’m Gay. With all the controversy suffocating the title of the album alone Lupe praises Lil’ B for his work.
So Lil B is from The Bay and he’s a youth hahaha we can stop right here! He already good in my book. But what gets Lil B admission into my coveted genre of “Liberation Rock” is his absolute lack of fear when it comes to challenging the status quo. Whether it be in hip-hop, which is very elitist and caste and class oriented, or just society in general, which is very elitist and class centric. His albeit “rocky” road musically has been honestly at times unbearable to walk on. Some of Lil B’s past works have been underwhelming to say the least and at moments I would seriously consider heading out for smoother pavement. But every now and again an absolute jewel would come to the surface and I’d find myself unable to fathom leaving this kids side for any reason. The vulgar lyrics, happy go lucky cooking dances and sometimes pointless stream of conscious style rambling started to give way to hints of a deadly serious revolutionary mentality lurking underneath. Now I’m not talking Dead Prez or Immortal Technique level stuff here but something just as powerful and meaningful. What I was witnessing was a man in the process of profound self-realization and self-awareness. And seeing that this road has led to the promised land in the form of “I’m Gay (I’m Happy)” has been for me just as fulfilling as the new understandings that I’m sure Lil Bars has come upon if the content of his new album is anything to go by.
This is merely a taste of all his thoughts. Read the full article Here.
Overjoyed new parents Tia Mowry and Cory Hardict have released the name of their new baby boy. Following in traditions footsteps the first initial starts with “C” just as his dad’s, Cree Taylor Hardict is already a celebrity as news outlets everywhere are reporting on this story. US Weekly writes,
“I never knew how much love I could feel for someone,” The Game star Mowry, 32, gushed to Us.
Added Battle: Los Angeles star Hardrict, 31: “We both have tears of joy!”
We are just so happy for the both of them. Hope to see pictures of baby Cree very soon!
Teyana Taylor and co-star Omarion get hot and heavy in the viral video for “Her Room,” Teyana’s response to Drake’s “Marvin’s Room.” Although my favorite cover is JoJo’s, I do enjoy Teyana’s version as well.
But let’s keep it real….I can’t stop looking at her abs. #kanyesworkoutplan.
Amber Rose became the talk of the blogosphere when very explicit nude photos were leaked of her once again. This time, she’s completely nude and touching her lady parts in various positions. We’re classy here, so if you want to see them, you can visit MediaTakeOut -_-.
Miss Rose is very upset about having her goodies put on display for a second time this year and vented her frustration via Twitter:
“I was gonna wait until my radio show to address this but I want to say this now. I trusted someone that worked [for] me and allowed them to use my laptop a million times. I caught this person sending my pics to themselves and I fired this person immediately. Wiz and I and both of our families have known about this for 2 months now. We tried to prepare ourselves for this day. Those pictures [are] 2 1/2 years old just sitting in my computer. I’m really hurt and embarrassed because I have so many young girls that look up to me. I would never put those pics out of myself.
The company that I was working with no longer wants to work with me because of these pics and that prevents me from getting money to take care of my family. Its a messed up situation when someone so evil comes into ur life and tries to destroy it. I know I’m not the only girl in the world that has taken pics like that but they were very private. I’m sorry for letting my young Rosebuds down. Pls understand this was a result of trusting a person that didn’t deserve my trust. I have cried for the past 2 days but I know this to shall p#!@%*#. Thank u for all of ur support.”
Part of me feels bad for Amber because I could only imagine the humiliation she feels. However, as a public figure, she should know that anything on the computer is up for grabs- people love scandal and if they are within reach of it, they will grab it.
Amber seems to be trying hard to clean up her bad girl image now that she’s with Wiz…maybe she should’ve cleaned up her computer first #imjustsayin
J. Cole has released three images from the set of his video for “Work Out.” The Kanye West and Paula Abdul sampled jam is the first official single from Cole World: The Sideline Story dropping September 27. Compared the gritty “Who Dat” video, this one looks like it will be more upscale and polished.
Two more pics below (via Cole’s Facebook page):
T.I and his Grand Hustle prodigy collaborate on “We Don’t Get Down Like Ya’ll,” a viral track released by the incarcerated rapper just for his fans.
“To show my appreciation to those that have been in support of me and granted the requests of TEAM T.I., I’ll be releasing a record in the near future to hold y’all over til I get back in action,”
T.I is scheduled to be released in the fall. Is this song hot enough to hold you over until then? Listen below:
Justin Timberlake may have been in a movie about Facebook, but it looks like he wants MySpace to make a comeback. Today, it’s been announced that he’s taking a minority stake in the company, hoping to help out its new owners, Specific Media, who bought it for $35 million.
How does he plan to revive the has-been of social networking? By giving it a specific focus: music and finding/developing new talent. Forget sexy…Justin’s bringing music back!
“There’s a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect,” Timberlake said in a statement. “MySpace has the potential to be that place … I’m excited to help revitalize MySpace by using its social media platform to bring artists and fans together in one community.”
Specific Media CEO Tim Vanderhook:
“We look forward to partnering with someone as talented as Justin Timberlake who will lead the business strategy with his creative ideas and vision for transforming MySpace,” Specific CEO Tim Vanderhook said.
Let’s see how many people blow the dust off their MySpace accounts and reactivate.
We brought you the first episode of Cee-Lo Green’s new Fuse show “Talking to Strangers” and now he’s back with another. Miss Keri Hilson sat down with Cee-Lo to talk about the sophomore jinx, boys versus men, and songwriting. Highlights below:
On the provocative record “The Way You F*** Me”
You know what Cee-Lo, if I’m representing women in the realest way, I have to keep it real with my audience. Every woman has that side of them. I don’t do music to paint myself perfect, I don’t care. I’d much rather it be real than perfect. You don’t give that to everybody but on a certain night with the right person that’s what we want.
On the title “No Boys Allowed”
Real men do real things. I just feel like now that I’m out there, so to speak and I have these conversations with my girls I just feel like everything that was old school and honorable about men…chivalry, respect and all of that is out the window. But women, for the sake of being hugged at night, we tolerate bullsh*t and if I could’ve called it “No Bullsh*t Allowed” I would’ve done that because that’s what separates the boys from the men.
On not having a sophomore album jinx
I didn’t feel it until “Breaking Point.” It was a very ballsy move to put out something like that first. We knew what we had but I feel like the timing of putting that record first….the same way I feel about “Energy.” I just didn’t feel like it was the best introduction record to Keri Hilson.
Spotted: Rap stars J. Cole and Wale on the set of “Bad Girls Club,” the first single from Wale’s upcoming sophomore album; J. Cole produced it. DJ Khaled and Rick Ross were also on set to show their support:
Pitbull and Ne-Yo tore down the stage on last night’s episode of The Voice performing their smash hit “Give Me Everything.” This time, they brought some back up dancers…and I think they were a bit of a distraction to Pitbull. Ne-Yo sounded great and stopped midway to acknowledge Voice judge Christina Aguilera with a kiss on the hand.
Lloyd keeps it real on “Dedication to my Ex (Miss That),” the next single from King of Hearts. The ever present Lil Wayne and reclusive Andre 3000 each spit a verse on the old school track. Is it me, or does Lloyd sound a lot like Michael Jackson?
“Your pu**y done changed/ It ain’t the same girl and that’s a shame.” <<Yes, he’s keeping it THAT real. Listen below:
Congrats are in order for Miss Jill Scott. Her album, The Light of the Sun, debuted at the number one spot on Billboard with 135,000 units sold. This is Scott’s first number one album ever….and well deserved.
Do we think she can keep up the momentum with both Alicia Keys and Beyonce releasing albums this week. We’ll have to wait and see.

If your ever in the club then you should know this song by heart. Georgia native YC has collaborated with a good bunch of MCs for the remix of Racks. On top of his “racks on racks on racks’ chorus line he also has rapper on top of rapper with the likes of Yo Gotti, Trae the Truth, Nelly, B.O.B., Ace Hood, Dose and CyHi the Prynce spitting versus.
Catch the video below.
Ne-yo is by far one of the best when it comes to making music about love and relationships. With his debut and classic album In My Own Words, he won hearts left and right. While some of his music belittles cheating as in Get Down Like That and the sorrows of a failed love in Time, Ne-yo admits that he is guilty of cheating.
Speaking openly with U.K. magazine he says,
“Talking about men cheating, I have to say, each to their own. I can’t just say they’re all bad as I’ve been guilty of it myself,” Ne-Yo candidly explained. “There are times when I know I’m not the nicest person, when I know what I’m doing is wrong. But then sometimes you have to figure out what’s really important to you. There are times when I get upset, there’s an ugly side to me — it’s not all smiles.”
He also went on to talk about the mother of his child Monyetta Shaw and how they have a platonic relationship as well as the love he has for his 8-month-old daughter Madilyn.
“I’ve been in love before, but this feels like nothing I’ve ever felt. It’s like being in love for the first time.”
That’s very sweet, I can only imagine how it feels to have your 1st child but referring to your baby’s mother as a friend. Not quite sure about that one. Can’t knock him for keeping it real though.
Ne-yo is also working on his fifth studio album Love and Passion which is slated to hit stores in September.
Another day, another politician caught sexting. This time it’s Joe Stagni, a Louisiana councilman from Kenner City who has openly admitted to sending a few pics of himself to an employee of the city. I’m not quite sure what’s going on with politicians and the uproar of sexting that’s taking place but here’s how Fox 8 is reporting it,
Kenner City Councilman Joe Stagni is apologizing for a “racy” picture of himself which ended up on a city computer system.
Stagni sent the picture via text message to a Kenner employee back in 2009. That text message was forwarded through Kenner’s email system to at least one other employee.
Monday night, Stagni released a statement saying, “I had an inappropriate but consensual relationship with an adult female and we exchanged improper electronic communications which ended in 2009. I did not use any government computer or city issued equipment to send or receive these communications.
Something must be in the water. Is it that serious your ready to lose your job. #imbaffled
Former Fall Out Boy Patrick Stump is representing for his city with the assistance of Lupe Fiasco. Showing love for their beloved Chi-town Stump sings,
“This city is my city, and I love it. I love it. I was born and raised here. I got it made here, and if I have my way, I’m gonna stay here for life, for the chorus.
While Lupe raps that his city is,
“a threat to the rest.”
Take a listen.
Lady Antebellum is the group that sings the hit smash “Need You Know” and who has also won numerous Grammy’s this year. The group is back on the scene with their latest video for “Just A Kiss“. This is the first single off their new album Own The Night which is expected to hit stores on September 13th. Will you be buying? Watch the vid below.

Now that Angela Yee is part of “The Breakfast Club” on Power 105, Eminem has found someone to take her spot on his Sirius XM channel, Shade 45.
MTV’s Sway Calloway will host a live weekday morning show that launches July 18. It will air Monday thru Friday from 8am-12pm.
Sway says this about his new job:
“I’m constantly striving to be a part of winning teams and movements, and Shade 45 on SiriusXM embodies this spirit,” said Sway Calloway. “We plan to tap into hip-hop and pop culture, global and domestic news and classic and groundbreaking new music. This is truly a labor of passion for me with two of the best at what they do, Eminem and Paul Rosenberg. We plan to make more history!”
Eminem is equally excited about Sway joining his radio family:
“I got my start on radio with Sway and so it only makes sense for things to come full-circle and have him join the family at Shade 45,” said Eminem. “I’m looking forward to the honor of Sway making mornings better on Shade 45.”
Someone is definitely #winning. Congrats to Sway!
