Nicki Minaj Graces The Cover Of "5" Magazine

Nicki Minaj looks super cute on the cover of “5” magazine. Since the release of her debut album and even prior Nicki’s rise to success has been a phenomenon. She discloses to the magazine why Jay-Z is one of her favorite rappers of all time, why she uses that crazy British accent and the way inside her heart. Highlights and full interview below:

How can a man get to your heart?
If he can make me laugh…..he has to be smart. I love sarcasm in people; I love when you’re able to pick up on sarcasm and when you’re able to dish it out. I love quick comebacks.

Your label mate Drake sounds like he fits the bill for that.
But that’s why Drake and I are friends because he does fit that to a certain extent. He’s really easy to talk to. As a girl, you don’t meet a lot of guys you can have a conversation with about anything. It’s dope.

On why she loves talking in a British accent
It’s so beautiful. It seems like it’s out of a story book or something. Whenever I was school and we had to act out plays and stuff…whenever we would have to wear the big gowns and corsets, we would have to put the London/British accent on. I would always be like, “their culture is so pretty. It’s like whimsical.”

Who is one of your favorite rappers of all-time?
Jay-Z. It was like whatever Jay-Z says is the gossip because he was smart. I was raised attracted to intelligent rappers. Like if you can make me think…that’s why I’m so into metaphors. I love double meanings of things. Just having people look at things in a different way because all my favorite rappers [Lil’ Wayne] that’s what they do, that’s what intrigued me.

Zoe Kravitz Covers "ASOS" Magazine

Zoe Kravitz daughter to rocker Lenny Kravitz  and actress Lisa Bonet is truly making a name for herself. This beautiful fashionista’s face is just popping up everywhere with her latest venture being on the cover of “ASOS” magazine. Highly infiltrated in fashion she talks to the magazine about how she feels being the “IT” girl. Check the highlights out below.

On being the “IT” girl:

“All that ‘it girl’ shit makes me kind of uncomfortable. I’m only at
the beginning of my career, but I feel successful in that I haven’t
sold out in any way, shape or form. I feel good about the choices
I’ve made, and I don’t feel like I’ve let go of any of my values.
Fame has become this obsession for people, which kind of creeps me
out.”

On her parent’s style:

“I used to be a little embarrassed by how she (mom Lisa Bonet) and my
dad (Lenny Kravitz) would dress…but now I steal their clothes all
the time.”

On being in X-Men: The First Class:

“We (Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and boyfriend Michael Fassbender) were living in London for four months and it was like X-Men summer camp, so we all hung out at each other’s houses after filming, went out to pubs…I lived in Notting Hill, right by Portobello…I’m spending all my money on flea-market shopping!”

Flea market shopping, now I like her even more!

Supermodel Jessica White Talks 'Angel Wings' About Childhood Sexual Abuse

Many celebrities become the faces of charity organizations towards a particular cause.  Supermodel Jessica White wants the world to know that she didn’t just slap her name onto her Angel Wings Foundation, whose purpose is to give help to sexually abused women.  On Sunday (May 29), Miss White hosted a dinner at Georgica in East Hampton in honor of the foundation where she opened up to the audience about her own experiences as an abused child:

“I was sexually abused as a child, and the work that my foundation does is not going to end sexual abuse, but it will definitely raise the awareness and give room for other women and girls to come forward and begin the healing process,” White said. “This is personal to me, this is not something that I went and slapped my name on.”

Proceeds from the dinner went to UNICEF’s “City of Joy” Program, which supports abused women in the Democratic Republic of Congo.  She talked more about her experiences in an exclusive interview with E! News.  The highlights below:

“I was 14 years old, I never talked about who my abuser was,” she told E! “It was my brother-in-law, my sister’s ex-husband. For the first time I realized I kept it a secret for so long, but why when people weren’t protecting me?” she said. “At 17, I told my older sister and asked her not to say anything, to not tear my family apart.”

“I hated going home, I had holes in my wall, it was the worst situation that a child could ever be in,” she said. “It was a very dark situation that I came from. But God used something very evil into something every powerful and beautiful. I don’t want any other young girl to feel like it’s their fault. The majority of the time it’s caused by someone that you know.”

“This is my mission in life, I’ve actually lived it,” she said. “When you think about that, you see why I’m very passionate about it. We may not be able to stop sexual abuse but we can minimize the stress intake. How I feel today, I truly believe if we team up and we can stop sexual abuse, we can prevent some pedophile from taking some girl’s innocence.”

She also revealed that she is collaborating with Gabrielle Union and other women on a YouTube campaign to support Angel Wings.  Another interesting fact: Jessica is working on a music career, reportedly with some people from Rihanna’s team.

Diva behavior, indeed.
