Video: Good Morning America Does Gaga
Lady Gaga, fresh off her electrifying performance of “Born This Way” on Sunday’s Grammy’s, sat down with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts to talk safe sex and the MAC Viva Glam Campaign, for which she is the spokesperson. First, Gaga came to the studio dressed in latex from head to toe, hoping to bring awareness to the deadly HIV/AIDS disease. Talk about sending a message…
“Well today was a latex condom-inspired outfit, because we’re here to talk about safe sex,” she told Robin Roberts. “I like themes, but today, I really wanted to head-to-toe be representative of what we women and people all over the world need to be concerned about, which is the leading cause of death in women all around the world, which is HIV.”
Besides gushing over her fans and fighting for social justice, she talked about her “genuine shock” over winning a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Bad Romance:”
“I so genuinely did not think I was going to win. I really didn’t and I was so shocked and so honored and so humbled, and it was a very joyous day being able to sing ‘Born This Way’ for the first time,” she stated.
