Halle Berry Pulls Out of Movie for Custody Battle

I hate to see happy families torn apart.

My favorite diva Halle Berry has pulled out of New Year’s Eve, the sequel to Garry Marshall’s Valentine’s Day in order to continue a custody battle with her oh-so-fine baby daddy, model Gabriel Aubry.  Halle’s rep tells People Magazine:

“Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her.  She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention.  Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority,” the rep added. “Both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their breakup, Halle has only acted in her daughter’s best interest.”

Halle and Gabriel started dating in 2006 and broke up in 2010.  Berry’s now dating co-star Oliver Martinez while Aubry has been linked to a number of women, including Kim Kardashian.  Halle will be replaced by Katherine Heigl in New Year’s Eve.

Mother knows best.

Cory Gunz MTV Documentary to Premiere in April

Cash Money and MTV must have a great relationship.

Nick Cannon and Cory Gunz announced today that “Son of a Gun,” a 6-part documentary about the up and coming rapper, will premiere on April 28th.  It will focus on Gunz and feature his father/manager, Peter Gunz.  Nick Cannon released a statement about his newest business venture:

“Cory’s story is inspiring, one that boldly paints the many trials and tribulations he’s had to endure in pursuit of his dreams.  I’m grateful for the access that Cory and Peter allowed us to have in order to create a series that we feel will really resonate with MTV viewers.”

Cory has had quite the rough road to initial success.  Before signing with Cash Money, Gunz was signed to Tommy Mottola’s Casablanca Records.  When that produced no released music, he moved onto Def Jam under Jay-Z’s guidance, and is now with Cash Money.

Cory speaks on his relationship with Nick Cannon.  I had no idea they were this close:

“Me and Nick got a couple things under wraps,” Gunz explained. “We’re trying to make a couple big things happen. We’re trying to do things real elegant for ’09, ’10 and beyond. We [got] a couple projects in the works. Nick has been real instrumental behind the scenes on the project. And he’s opened a couple of doors for me. Nick is my big brother now, for real. He’s opening doors for me, giving me opportunities in and out of the studio. It’s about to be ugly.”

I think this is definitely a good look for him.  Nicki Minaj had her MTV Documentary and blew up after that.  If all goes well, the same will happen with Cory.  Best of luck to him.

T-Pain Is Waiting For Drake's Verse To Finish His Album

From that ridiculous Facebook inspired tattoo to this. T-Pain needs to get it together. He currently took to twitter to inform his fans what’s going on with his next album. In the past, T-Pain has openly said that he would not release another album until sales picked up. Since then they have giving the success from Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Rihanna’s latest albums.

There’s just one small problem, T-Pain says he’s waiting on Drake before he can complete the album. Here’s what he put up on Twitter.

“I know yall waitin on the album but the last thing I need is a verse from drake and the album is complete. So find drake and tell him to hurry the hell up and finish the verse Hahahahaaaa #twitterbomb. By the way the song with drake on it is the next sigle as well so that’s why I haven’t dropped a new single yet. Jus lettin you know.”

Why are you letting us know and not Drake himself, I presume he knows now, and don’t be trying to put my baby on blast via Twitter. You hold up the release of your entire album because of a verse. Really?!
